Skylon Technologies provides Lead Systems Engineering support to the Next Generation Resource Management System (NGRMS) PMO to help complete the preliminary phase and develop a request for proposal (RFP) for the architecture modernization effort.
Responsibilities include managing team member activities in the areas of test, information assurance, systems engineering, requirements gathering and enterprise architecture (EA).
Main Artifacts produced include a requirements traceability matrix, functional and non-functional requirements, information assurance guidance, EA artifacts and Business Enterprise Architectural (BEA) artifacts.
EA artifacts produced include DoDAF v2.0 models viewpoints: All viewpoints, Capability, Data & Information, Operations, Services, and System viewpoints.
BEA artifacts produced include activity and process diagrams.
For NGRMS, Skylon Engineer(s):
Develop, implement, and monitor processes to support program/project SE activities as required by DOD 5000.02
Gather and analyze metrics supporting technical assessments and formal technical reviews.
Monitor, assess, and quality check program/project technical progress.
Support development of DOD 5000 required SE related work products.
Create/maintain program System Engineering Plans (SEP) and other SE-related documentation.
Ensure that the planning of technical processes to develop, field, and sustain the system is in compliance with the DOD 5000 Series and other DOD regulations, the Government System Engineering Plan (SEP), and industry best practice.
Ensure that SE processes are applied throughout the system's life cycle.
Support process development/improvements and related documentation for processes that are implemented in DLA's Workbench tool.
